Similar to games or martial arts, ranks and certificates are provided to students for reaching certain milestones. Each achievement level would feature up to 5 Badges, except for Bronze which only contains 3 badges, to mark the completion of each set of lessons. This provides the students with validation for their readiness to advance through further topics.
As students begin to perfect fundamental skills related to music theory and using the various applications being used to produce their music they will receive badges. This is done to not only provide recognition but to provide additional motivation beyond simply progressing through the course.
Live Sessions (1 hour and 15 minutes) |
Portfolio Management/Development (1 Hour) |
---|---|
Our live sessions are split into portions starting with a short lesson, in theory, exercises that help them put the topic into practice, and lastly, starting on the lesson, a supervised hands-on application of what was learned. Depending on the pacing of the student, the results of their application would go through portfolio management and development by the instructor | Outside of the live session, the instructor enhances the quality of the students' work through a process called mixing and mastering until they learn to do it themselves. For students in beginner lessons, this is where the professor prepares the student’s applied music work for them to share with friends and family.
Example, the very first lesson (2 sessions) for true beginner students would be to add their own drum remix to a popular song of their choice while the instructor completes the rest of the remix. |
